Writing is a skill that needs to be nurtured, it is not an innate talent. I know this to be true because I wasn’t always a great writer—when I first attended university, straight out of high school, I had a C average and detested writing assignments. I would end up dropping out in my second year due to poor grades.
In the last 10 years since then, I became a paralegal and returned to school to complete my bachelor’s degree. I ended up making the Dean’s List thanks to my exemplary grades. My career in the legal field and my experience returning to university sparked a love for writing, and my dedication was reflected in the grades I received. Having completed my BA, I am now pursuing a master’s degree.
In my professional life, I regularly lead successful training sessions and have been recognized for my writing skills by others who request my help with their writing projects.
